In Moirang, where the game was held, no one could match his skill. However, on the sidelines of the field, a stout and handsome young man caught someone’s eye and was invited to join the game. The young man hesitated, citing that he lacked proper attire for the game. Another person offered him his clothes, and the crowd was thrilled to find a worthy opponent for Nongban.

During the match, the young man defeated Nongban decisively, proving himself to be more than a match for the champion. The crowd erupted in joy at this unexpected turn of events.

Following the mukna-kangjei match, a wrestling competition was held where Nongban had remained undefeated for seven years.
